OK.. so I haven't looked back far enough to see if this topic had been covered, but I'm going to have to throw this out.
My Daughter said the cutest thing to me the other night as I was reading her a bedtime story and got her ready for bed. I turn out the lights, kiss her on the forehead and tell her sweet dreams.
She looks up at me in the dark and looks at our cat. Looks back at me and says..
"Pappa.. Its dark in my room."
"I know punkin. It cause its night time. Its time for bed."
Pappa.. I cant see in the dark."
" I know kiddo. the lights are out, its night time. Time for sleep."
"Pappa.. I cant see in the dark cause I dont have candles in my eyes...".
At that point. I lost it and kept her up for another 10 minutes trying not to laugh so hard..
:) =-Adam.

Re: The cutest things we hear...
Sat, September 22, 2007 - 12:30 AMI hadn't asked her that question yet, but that may be another one of our nighttime conversations on how she thinks the cat can see in the dark.
Somedays the things I hear from her make me even go hrrrrm. .:) -

Re: The cutest things we hear...
Mon, September 24, 2007 - 10:22 AMThat's really true. A child's fresh perspective can make you re-think so many things you just took for granted. My son is constantly asking me the "hows" - how do things run, work, etc. And I find I can almost never answer those types of questions. -

Sun, September 30, 2007 - 4:31 PMI find it's more fun to ask them how they think it works.
You get some really wild answers. -

Re: The cutest things we hear...
Mon, October 1, 2007 - 4:24 PMYes, that's true. I have a tribe called "Ask a kid" so people can all ask their kids questions and share the answers, it was a lot of fun back when it was still alive. Maybe I should give it some TLC and try to revive it.
The answers I get from my son never cease to amaze me. Imagination is a wonderful thing! -

Thu, October 4, 2007 - 10:33 AMOur 3 year old, Holly is always calling her daddy "Babe."
The other day we were at the beach camping and daddy had gone fishing while Holly was asleep. When she woke up she asked " where's baby daddy?" -

Re: The cutest things we hear...
Fri, October 12, 2007 - 11:33 AMI overheard my two sons talking to each other, my oldest (7) was sassing his brother and he sounded like he was about 30 years old except that he mispronounced a critical word in the middle...
"And don't be thinking I'll fall for your sheninigans, either!" -
